Snip, Snip... Success! Owasso Public Works Cuts Ribbon on New Facility

On June 19, the City of Owasso celebrated the official grand opening of its new Public Works Facility.

City staff, community leaders, and representatives from Beck Design and Miller-Tippens Construction came together to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new site, located off of 116th Street just west of Owasso Sports Park.

The facility will streamline operations for the City of Owasso’s Public Works Department, bringing a new administrative building, field operations building, and fleet and facility maintenance building to the 48-acre property.

“This facility represents an investment in our employees, our infrastructure, and the services we provide our citizens every day,” Public Works Director Roger Stevens said. “It will serve our community for decades to come and help ensure that Public Works continues to meet the needs of a growing city.”

Goodwill opens Owasso store, donation site

Congrats to Goodwill Industries of Tulsa on the grand opening of its Owasso location on June 25.

The 20,000-square-foot store and donation center, which broke ground in July 2025, is located on a 2.3-acre site at 8525 N. 117th E. Ave. just west of U.S. 169.

City staff tours Amazon Fulfillment Center

Owasso city staff at the beginning of June got a chance to tour Amazon’s Fulfillment Center just south of Owasso off of U.S. 169.

The 2.6-million square-foot facility, which opened in Aug. 2020, employs nearly 3,000 associates, and has continued to make an impact on surrounding communities through career opportunities and community investment.
