Moving dirt: Officials break ground on Eddy Gibbs Library in Owasso

City and state officials broke ground on the new Eddie Gibbs Library in Owasso’s Redbud District on Oct. 15.

The former Owasso Library site at 103 W. Broadway St. was demolished at the beginning of October. It will be rebuilt to double its size and anchor a three-story, mixed-use development.

The project — spearheaded by the Tulsa City-County Library — is a public-private partnership between Tulsa County and West Construction. The Owasso Library has relocated to a temporary site at 314 E. 5th Ave., Ste. 202.

Pilates Sisters opens in downtown Owasso

Pilates Sisters opened its doors in the Redbud District in mid-October.

Sibling owners Maru and Daniela Hernandez celebrated the first studio of its kind in downtown Owasso during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 18.

Pilates Sisters offers a variety of services, including classic reformer classes, stretch and balance instructions, private lessons, and more.
