City Planning Manager Alexa Beemer named 2025 Employee of the Year

Congrats to Planning Manager Alexa Beemer, who was recently named the City of Owasso’s Employee of the Year!

Alexa joined the City in 2020 as City Planner and was promoted to Planning Manager in 2022, bringing passion, professionalism, and genuine care to her work. She is known for her exceptional communication and steady, gracious presence, even in challenging situations.

Alexa has helped secure major grant funding for the City — including $76,270 for energy-efficient A/C units and $1.56 million for 1.56 miles of new sidewalks. She has also led critical efforts such as the in-house Zoning Code update and the Community Plus software transition.

Alexa is recognized for making a meaningful difference every day, lifting others up, modeling humble leadership, and moving the organization forward.
