Creativity comes naturally for Jenelle Abbott.
She’s the owner of Foxy’s Kits & Quilts, Owasso’s new sewing studio located on the north end of town.
“My inspiration to open was to create a creative space that brought community to those wanting to learn more about quilting or just looking for quilty friends to sew with,” Jenelle said.
The shop, near German Corner off of 116th Street, offers several spacious sewing stations, along with a variety of quilting and crafting kits and supplies, and different classes and retreats for locals to enjoy.
“I would love for each person who comes to Foxy’s to be inspired to be their creative self and step out of their comfort zone to learn new skills and techniques,” Jenelle said. “The escape into a new project each time is like a good book.”
Jenelle invites guests to her new space she’s coining as “a place for makers” for open sew days, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, and scheduled times for other special events.
