Owasso Police Department unveils Line of Duty Death Memorial outside headquarters

On Monday, May 4, the Owasso Police Department unveiled its Line of Duty Death Memorial outside its downtown headquarters.

The new memorial sits at the base of the Main Street statue and honors fallen Owasso officers like Howard Smith and Edgar “Buddy” Pales Jr., along with K-9 Helo.

“It’s a big thing for us,” Owasso Police Chief Jason Woodruff said. “It’s a permanent reminder to make sure these officers aren’t forgotten.”
