Roy’s Chicken opens in Owasso following restoration, rebranding effort

Roy Cole is reinvesting in the Owasso community.
He recently converted his late brother’s former restaurant, Larry’s Fried Chicken, into Roy's Chicken, off of 86th Street.
“Just to get it open back up and keep the family business, to get it all going, it’s been fun,” Roy said.
Larry Cole opened his namesake chicken restaurant in 1983, serving customers for nearly 30 years before passing away in February 2012. His brother is now carrying on his legacy under a new brand.
“People are so friendly and so appreciative,” Roy said of his patrons since restoring the site alongside his son, Ben Cole, and grandson, Jackson Cole, both co-owners.
Roy’s Chicken, a drive-thru-only service, offers a variety of menu items, including boneless chunks and bone-in chicken plates, along with soups, salads, sides, desserts, and more.
When asked what he wants his customers to take away from their dining experience, Roy replied: “I want them to have a good chicken dinner and say that they had good service, and quick.”
