Photos: Owasso VFW breaks ground on Vietnam Veterans War Memorial

The City of Owasso is proud to join the Owasso VFW in celebrating the announcement of a new Vietnam Veterans War Memorial!

The VFW held a groundbreaking at Owasso Veterans Park on March 29 to commemorate the project, which will feature three pillars, two park benches facing the monument, and a Vietnamese flag on a pole.

“This is a great opportunity for us to honor our veterans in not only our community, but the surrounding areas,” Owasso Recreation and Culture Director Larry Langford said. “We invite everyone to come and visit the monument, and pay their respect to those who sacrificed so much.”

The memorial is scheduled to tentatively be completed by the end of 2026, weather permitting.
